Great tutoring, for every family
HomeAiTutor exists to make excellent, personalised tutoring accessible across Singapore β by combining the patience and availability of AI with the judgement and care of real teachers.
Why we exist
Singapore families face a real tension. Weekly human tuition is valuable but expensive, infrequent and hard to scale across every subject a child needs. Practice apps and AI tools are available around the clock but can't mark a composition, read a student's mood or explain why a specific exam answer lost two marks. For most families, the choice has always been one or the other.
We don't think that trade-off should exist. HomeAiTutor is built around a simple idea: the AI handles the unlimited daily repetition, instant explanations and feedback that used to require a tutor to be physically present at 10 pm β and a vetted human tutor handles everything that still needs a person: marking open-ended work, building a weekly plan, staying accountable.
The hybrid isn't a compromise; it's additive. Students get more practice between sessions. Tutors can focus on what they are genuinely best at. Parents get visibility without having to be in the room for every homework question.
Our content follows the levels and exams Singapore families actually face β PSLE, N-Level, O-Level, A-Level, IP, IB and IGCSE β across English, Maths, the Sciences, Chinese, Economics and more.
How we vet tutors
Every tutor on HomeAiTutor goes through the same process before being matched with families.
Application and background check
Tutors submit qualifications and relevant experience. We verify academic credentials and check for any history of professional misconduct before progressing applicants.
Subject knowledge test
Applicants sit a written assessment in their declared subject(s). Results are reviewed by our academic team and only tutors who meet the passing threshold proceed.
Trial lesson review
New tutors conduct a trial session. We review lesson quality, explanation clarity and how well the tutor adapts to the student's pace before full approval.
Ongoing feedback and quality monitoring
Parent and student feedback is collected after each engagement. Tutors who fall below our quality benchmark are paused and reviewed; consistent performers are highlighted to families.
Responsible by design
We comply with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), treat the parent or guardian as the account holder and consent-giver for a child's data, and clearly label when you're interacting with AI versus a human. We don't make guarantees about grades β we provide consistent practice and qualified tutors designed to help students improve.
When the AI is uncertain, it says so. When a question needs a human, we make that clear. We believe transparency about what AI can and can't do is not a weakness β it's the only honest way to use it in education.
