AEIS Tuition

The Admissions Exercise for International Students (AEIS) is administered by the Singapore Ministry of Education for international students seeking entry into MOE mainstream primary and secondary schools. The exercise tests English and Mathematics at levels appropriate to the year of entry, from Primary 2 through Secondary 3. HomeAiTutor pairs a 24/7 AI tutor — unlimited practice in both subjects, instant feedback — with human tutors familiar with the AEIS paper style and the MOE syllabus that the test is benchmarked against.

AEIS tuition — FAQ

What does the AEIS test cover?

The AEIS assesses English Language and Mathematics. The difficulty level of the papers corresponds to the year of entry the student is applying for — so a student applying for Primary 4 entry sits papers benchmarked against the P3/P4 MOE syllabus. MOE publishes sample papers on its official website.

When is the AEIS held each year?

The main AEIS exercise is typically held in September/October each year, with results released before the new school year. MOE also conducts a Supplementary AEIS (S-AEIS) in February/March for students who missed the main exercise or did not secure a place in the first round. Check MOE's official AEIS portal for the exact dates each year.

Which year group should my child apply for?

MOE determines the appropriate year of entry based on the student's age and any prior schooling credentials. The AEIS is open for placements from Primary 2 to Secondary 3. International students already studying in a Singapore international school are generally not eligible; eligibility criteria are published on the MOE AEIS website.

How can HomeAiTutor help an international student prepare for AEIS?

The AI tutor provides unlimited English and Maths practice aligned to the Singapore MOE syllabus at the relevant year level — the same curriculum the AEIS is benchmarked against. A matched human tutor can then address gaps in MOE-specific vocabulary, problem-solving approach and comprehension strategies that differ from the student's home curriculum.

Do you guarantee an AEIS pass or a specific placement?

No — no responsible tutor can guarantee a specific outcome. Placement decisions rest entirely with MOE based on the student's AEIS performance and school vacancies. We provide targeted preparation designed to help students perform to their best ability.
